This month’s Naked Girls Reading featured “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens. Warm temperature and a beautiful smile behind reception, welcomed attendees who immediately removed their coats and found seats in front of the red-lit couches. Once everyone was seated, the women strolled from behind a screen to the comfortable seats. Before the reading, Michelle signed the contract for her book due to be released in 2010, “Sexy Chicago.” She and the women then portrayed an artistic and tasteful reading of the holiday story. It was refreshing to hear the classic “Christmas Carol” with such softness and poise.

Dia de los Muertos display

Earlier this month, the artists in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood opened their doors to the public. Art displayed ranged from one-colored prints to a headboard with a burned image of “La Catrina” — also known as death according to Mexican Folklore. Many unique venues, including a gym and people’s own apartments displayed the array of color popping out of the art. The streets were busier than usual on the sunny Sunday afternoon in October.
